Registration for the 2026 academic year (5787) will begin, G-d willing, on Thursday, 5 Tevet (December 25, 2025).

Seminar interviews will take place in Crown Heights between 17–22 Shevat 5787 (February 4–9, 2026).

The seminary is intended for serious Chassidic young women—graduates of Chabad high schools worldwide—who wish, in accordance with the Rebbe’s directive, to dedicate a year to Torah studies in a nurturing Chassidic environment, and to prepare in the best possible way for their future primary role: establishing a Chassidic home.

Chaya Mushka Seminary’s primary goal is to provide an empowering and experiential curriculum that encompass all areas of life, offering spiritual preparation and a strong foundation for life ahead.

Topics of the curriculum includes classes on the Jewish home, personal growth and self-awareness, selected topics on Chasidus, Tanya, Hashkafa, Halacha (Jewish law), child education, and guidance and preparation for shidduchim.

Curriculum/Studies

At Chaya Mushka Seminary, students can choose between two study tracks:

1.

Program for English-Speaking Students

A full academic program combined with a full schedule of Chassidic social activities.
The program begins in September, in the unique and uplifting atmosphere of Eretz Yisroel and the holy city of Jerusalem.

2.

Program for Hebrew-Speaking Students from Abroad

A full academic program combined with a full schedule of Chassidic social activities.
This program begins after the Tishrei holidays, in the special atmosphere of Eretz Yisroel and the holy city of Jerusalem.

Social Programs

The program includes farbrengens (Chassidic gatherings), special lectures, workshops, activities, preparatory sessions and study, Shabbatonim— all conducted in a genuine Chassidic atmosphere.

Throughout the year, seminars are held in various locations across Israel, lasting several days which trips, activities, and outdoor farbrengens.

Chassidic and Social Atmosphere

Chaya Mushka Seminary offers a rich and diverse social environment filled with workshops, seminars, professional courses, and uplifting social evenings—all led by a young and energetic team of Chassidic counselors.

Throughout the year and on Yemei D’Pagra, the seminary organizes preparatory sessions and study, farbrengens with esteemed mashpi’im and mashpi’ot, Shabbat retreats- shabbatonim, tours, and trips around Jerusalem and Eretz Yisroel.

The Dormitory

The seminary’s dormitory is located in the new “Beit Moshe” building, at 5 David Yellin Street, in the heart of an authentic Chareidi (ultra-Orthodox) neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Its central location, a short walk from the Western Wall (Kotel) and other central sites in the city, provides students with maximum accessibility to these places alongside warm, pleasant, and home-like living quarters.

Daily Schedule at the Seminary

The academic curriculum includes a wide range of classes in various Torah subjects—Chassidus, Halacha (Jewish law), Hashkafa (Jewish philosophy), The Jewish Home, and more.

Lessons are taught by outstanding rabbis and teachers from across Eretz Yisroel.

 

Among the rabbis teaching:
Rabbi Yosef Elkabetz, Rabbi Yoel Beitch, Rabbi Dov Halperin, Rabbi Menachem Halperin, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Neiman, Rabbi Baruch Kaplan, and others.

Among the teachers:
Mrs. Hedva Brown, Mrs. Leah Lapidus, Mrs. Tzippy Pikarsky, Mrs. Gitty Fromer, and others.

Shabbatot and Holidays at the Seminary

At the seminary, there are three types of Shabbatot:

  • Mandatory Shabbat – Students remain at the seminary together with guests and counselors.
  • Optional Shabbat – Students may stay for Shabbat with the counselors if they wish.
  • Free Shabbat – All students must leave the dormitory, which is closed for the weekend.

Holidays at the seminary are either mandatory or optional/vacation periods, depending on the occasion.

Seminary Rules

1. Attendance

Full attendance is required for all classes/activities.

In case you need to be absent or arrive late, you can obtain prior approval, granted for up to 20% of the full obligatory participation.

2. Modesty and Dress Code

Seminary students are required to adhere to the modesty regulations of the Chabad Rabbinical Council in the Holy Land (a copy of which will be provided to each student accepted to the seminary).

Uniform: Button-up shirt, black skirt without slits, long stockings, hair tied up, light nail polish/makeup only.

3. Cell Phones

Students are allowed to use smartphones with filtering only.

At the beginning of the school year, filtering will be installed on each device by the seminary.

During all classes and gatherings, the phone must be deposited at the office.

4. Work Prohibition

A student studying at the seminar cannot work during the year.

5. Attendance Policy

Mandatory return to the dormitory by 10:00 PM in the dormitory. (Unless the student has received a special approval).

6. Code of Conduct

Adherence to Chassidic conduct, proper and respectful behavior- derech eretz ben adam l’chaveiro, without compromise

You can apply for a scholarship. Each application will be considered on an individual basis by each scholarship committee.
